This piece was painted in a molten state on a heated plate with encaustic (beeswax, Damar tree resin, and pigments), sumi ink, charcoal, dry and oil pastel on paper. It was then mounted on panel and coated with a clear wax medium for protection that can be buffed to a high shine or left matte.
