The Role

Our Sales Manager will play an instrumental role in Guest House’s growth strategy across all markets. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for building a sales org from the ground up and who will run toward opportunities to build relationships, close deals and achieve ambitious growth goals in 2021 and beyond. As the first dedicated sales team member, the Sales Manager will need to be creative and focused, targeting the most important opportunities to accelerate momentum at this critical stage.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Proactively research, network and prospect to expand our existing pipeline by developing strategic relationships with property management companies, hotels, developers, real estate brokerages and investors
  • Develop a scalable sales strategy that efficiently gets results and integrates into the broader business objectives
  • Take a hands-on approach to developing, implementing and improving our processes, sales materials and tactics
  • Bring your business acumen and influencing skills to successfully navigate sales conversations and achieve revenue targets
  • Bring a data-driven mindset to setting priorities, identifying and evaluating opportunities, and measuring sales performance (e.g. activity, pipelines, forecasts, and closed-deals)
  • Collaborate with Growth and Strategy teams to iterate and improve every aspect of the customer experience
  • Lead process, technology and resource planning with Guest House leaders balancing cost and impact
  • Develop and refine the outbound sales approach and incentive structure for sales reps

  • A passion for transforming the real estate and home buying experience
  • A network of contacts in real estate, property management, hospitality and related industries
  • Experience developing and implementing scalable processes
  • Proven track record of achieving ambitious growth and revenue goals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to diverse audiences conveying enthusiasm and credibility while articulating the Guest House value proposition
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of thinking “outside the box” to solve complicated and multi-faceted problems
  • Quantitative and data-driven; able to draw insights from data, but also to make decisions based on imperfect and evolving information
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Hubspot) and Excel to monitor performance and effectiveness of sales activities
